Western Religion

Western Religion is primarily characterized by the three monotheistic or Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. In the West, the great philosophers were also most often great religious thinkers as well. Concepts such as the Divine, Redemption, Revelation, Creation, the World to Come, the Golden Rule, principles of Nature, concern for one’s fellow human being as well as animals, plants and the rest of the world, the relationship of science and knowledge to belief and theory, the abstract and the concrete, the sacred and the profane, it is all there for those willing to explore.
