The Bhagavad-Gita

Here we do
see
brothers
standing with arms
against
each other

Why?

Let us ask
this most sacred
holy of questions
do they fight
should
they
how should
we live our life?

Ch. 1 – Brother Against Brother

With conch roars
and lion flag-waving
processions
of men
and elephants
and horses
and war-weapons
they are assembled
in front
of one another
prepared to do battle
to cause
din
and tumultuous
arising

Why?

Let us ask the question
again
always
whenever
violence
is the suggested action

They stand
there looking
so fierce
so regal
so adjectival
depending
on your perspectival
proclivity

at the end
of the day
are they men
of ashes
or spirituality?

What do they
seek to do
to one
another with their
spear-points
and shields
and swords

could they
have found
a better solution
a long-time
ago
with words
or better
yet non-verbal
silence
and intimate
jests?

Archers
and chariots
strong-armed
men
conches
but is it consciousness
or unconsciousness
or the mind’s
of men running
out of control
hand-held
let go a long
time ago
heaven and earth
monkeys
rampant
parts
all the fighting
and struggling
commensing

is it meant to be?

We’ll see
come on let’s go
