There was an Old Person of Sparta by Edward Lear

There once was a Spartan
who chose to raise his kin according to the golden rule
to have each do to the other as they’d do to each-other
brother and sister to love one another
to come from under to over
around-and-about shoulder-to-shoulder
growing warm and hot with inter-mittent pull-overs
cardigans and homonyms
spinning dreidels and hearty whims
heated and chilled conversations, all types of
o what a wondrous Man this Spartan
who ruled with a wave of his hand and a beg pardoned
a prince of purpose never out-smarted
a raconteur, off darted!
