One Art by Elizabeth Bishop

So much I have lost
lost at land
so much I have lost
lost at hand

I have practiced with patience
this craft
to lose and yet
to laugh

I have even purposefully
mis-placed
and written only to erase
I’ve car-chased and star-gazed
and lusted over permanence
only to come back home
to sifting sand

I am Lost
Lost at Land
