Jabberwocky by Lewis Caroll

Look here it’s the
Jabberwocky
beautiful brilliant
magnificent
majestic
but beware of this
Jabberwock
for it’s jaws do bite
it’s claws do snatch
and beware
its friend the
Jubjub bird
and of course
the Bandersnatch!

With vorpal sword in hand
this magnanimous fough
seaking the Tumtum tree
where he could stand
awhile
and believe that which
yet lay before his
eyes.

Uffishly standing and waiting
and watching
for the Jabberwock
with eyes of flame
to come through those tulgey
woods
One Two, through and through
vorpal blade swiping past
leaving dead
taking its head
galoo galumph
back to step 1.

Is it not a joy to slay
the Jabberwocky?
What a frabjous day!
Callooh! Callay!

Wait what are we
celebrating?
The killing of a fanciful
creature?
Is it not bad enough
we celebrate
real death?
